Great news!

Red Kite Community Housing Trust

Red Kite Community Housing Trust based in High Wycombe have a fund which can provide grants to local community projects. The Radnage Scout Group applied for one of these funds and was successful in being awarded a substantial amount. The money has been awarded specifically to be spent on the refurbishment of our Scout Hut.
We have identified four pieces of work which will benefit from this grant:

  1. Exterior re-cladding of the walls.
  2. New entrance steps.
  3. A storage shed by the rear exit door.
  4. Interior re-decoration.

Work will start this Spring and be complete in the Summer holidays.

The Group would like to pass on a big "Thank You" to Red Kite for providing this money. It will make a big difference to all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Scouts & Cubs Chiltern Rangers Working Party

Radnage Cubs and Scouts took part in a Working Party to support the Chiltern Rangers. This involved volunteering in environmental scrub clearance in parts of the Chilterns, photographs in the Gallery.

Remembrance Day Parade

Beavers, Scouts and Cubs took part in our Remembrance Day 2014 parade commemorating the 100th anniversary of WW1. Some of the photographs are in the slide show above, and in the Gallery.

In 2012, Cubs laid a wreath at the Halifax Bomber Memorial in Cowleaze Wood, Near Christmas Common. The bomber crashed there 31st March 1944 and all 7 crew were lost
